I really can't believe that it's 2013 already, 2012 has definitely been a fast year and it still feels like I just came out of high school...
Well, my first post of 2013 will be a review on the revlon balm stain, because I love them so much and everyone should just get one or more :D
The revlon balm stain retails for $17.95 in Australia, I know pretty ridiculous considering it cost around $10 in America. I got eight out of the twelve, I got some from ebay for around $9-10 and when Priceline had the 2 for 1 offer.
top-bottom: charm, darling, cherish, honey, rendezvous, lovesick, smitten, crush
bottom-top: charm, cherish, darling, honey, rendezvous, lovesick, smitten, crush
- It is pretty creamy, easy to glide on, like a lip balm
- pigmented (needs a few extra layer with the lighter colours though: charm, cherish, darling)
- not sticky
- really does stains your lips, even after drinking and eating. it even leaves a bit of colour after removing with oil based makeup remover
- after the balm stain settles, it doesn't transfer
Overall, I love this product, that's why i got most of it... but I do wish they come out with more colours and I was a bit disappointed with the nude colour. I absolutely love the brighter colours, I think if you do want to invest on them, get the brighter colours.
I would say lovesick and sweetheart (not shown) are quite similar, or basically the same, so no point getting both.
Favourites:
- Honey (wearable everyday colour) <3
- Lovesick (a hot pink that really suits my skin tone)
- Crush (good for a dark vampy look, if you're not dare to wear a too dark lipstick yet)
